Victor Jones serves as Educational Special Counsel for the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. (LDF). He holds a B.A. in Literature from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard University, and a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

Victor has experience as a civil rights attorney, utilizing integrated advocacy models including direct and impact litigation, public policy, and public outreach to address systemic maladies for at-risk youth and young adult populations. Early in his legal career, he practiced commercial litigation, employment law, and education law at multi-disciplinary law firms in New Orleans. He is a writer and frequent guest lecturer namely on civil rights issues impacting children and young adults. Prior to attending law school, Victor was a public-school kindergarten teacher.

Victor’s professional life has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all children, and he was inspired to join the Audubon Commission because he views its work, in providing zoos and parks, as an extension of his lifetime commitment to children.
