Sea-Level Rise in the Classroom Louisiana Educator Workshop
Explore sea-level rise science from the intersection of social and environmental issues. This full-day interactive workshop hosted by Audubon Nature Institute and brought to you by PLACE:SLR, introduces science and social studies educators to the “Sea-Level Rise in the Classroom” curriculum. This curriculum fosters science-to-civics literacy through a high school curriculum focused on sea-level rise resilience and community-driven solutions.
Audience: Louisiana high school science and social studies educators
Participant Benefits: $100 stipend, 6 contact hours, lunch

Petit Pierre and the Floating Marsh
Connect Your Students with the Beauty and Importance of Louisiana’s Wetlands.
Petit Pierre and the Floating Marsh was created through a partnership with Audubon Nature Institute and the New Orleans Pelicans. With this heartwarming story about a pelican and his wetland friends, Audubon and the Pelicans hope to encourage reading. Proceeds from Petit Pierre and the Floating Marsh support wetland education initiatives.
