Board Member, Audubon Nature Institute

St. Denis “Sandy” Villere III is a partner and investment manager for St. Denis J. Villere & Co. He holds a B.S. in finance from Southern Methodist University and is a member of the CFA Institute. In addition to the Audubon Nature Institute Board, he also currently serves on the boards of the Pro Bono Publico Foundation and Carrollton Boosters, Inc.

He also serves on the Advisory Board Resource Bank, is a Charter member of Choice Foundation, a nonprofit corporation that promotes school choice issues in Louisiana, and is currently Chairing Trinity School & Church Capital Campaign. He is a former Board Chair of Trinity Episcopal School and Carrollton Boosters and a former member of the Advisory Board of Hibernia Homestead.

Sandy and his wife Anne are parents to three teenage/young-adult children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching kids in sports, helping charter schools, and spending time with family. He has loved the Audubon family of parks and museums his entire life and considers them to be gems of the city, which he wants to help preserve and thrive for future generations—including his grandchildren—to enjoy. Sandy has fond memories of his time as a student at Newman chaperoning younger kids on field trips to Audubon Zoo and seeing their job as many visited the Zoo and saw animals from around the world for the first time.
