Membership Expiration
Memberships are annual and expire on last day of purchase month the following year, i.e., if you purchase a membership on 8/12/16 the membership will expire 8/31/17.

Membership Cards
   • Please allow 3-5 weeks for cards to arrive in the mail.
   • Duplicate cards are available for purchase for $5.22 in person or via the Member Hotline, (504) 861-5105.
   • Show your member card and Photo ID to greeter at any location for entrance. Photo ID required for admittance and discounts.
   • Names cannot be changed, except when renewing.

Temporary Cards
   • Please stop at the Membership window and we will print a temporary card for you.

Lost Membership Card
   • Replacement cards are available for purchase for $5.22.
   • You may show your Photo ID at any Membership window and the Member Services Sales Associate can look you up.
   • You may print a temporary card online.

Gift Memberships
   • Purchase a gift membership online.
   • When purchasing a Gift Membership, you will need to include:
      The Recipient's full name, address, including apartment number, phone, or email address.
      Senior level member purchases require the Senior to be age 65 or older. The Senior's full birthdate is required for this level.
   • Call us at (504) 861-5105
   • Purchase at any of our Membership locations on your next visit.

Benefits of Gift Memberships do not extend to the gift giver unless they are covered by the caregiver privilege. (See Caregiver Privilege below for details).

Guest Passes
   • Guest passes are mailed out with your membership card.
   • Must be presented in person.
   • Lost, stolen, or forgotten guest passes cannot be replaced.

Upgrade Membership
   • Upgrade at any time.
   • Upgrading your membership will not renew or extend it.
   • You will only pay the difference in price from your current level to the new level of purchase.
   • Upgrades are not prorated.
   • Upgrade your membership here online.

Caregiver Privilege
Caregiver privileges apply to the Family Plus, Safari Krewe, Wildlife Partner and Golden Eagle categories. Your caregiver will receive free admission when visiting with your children only when you are unable to accompany them. Your Membership card, a brief permission note from you and caregiver's photo ID are required on each visit.

Are Memberships tax deductible?
Please note, per IRS regulations, all charitable organizations must provide a written disclosure statement concerning quid pro quo contributions over $75.00. Our good faith estimate of fair market value of this membership is equal to or greater than the cost of the membership. Therefore, no part of the membership is tax deductible. Please contact your tax advisor for further guidance.

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be applied toward group or camp admission.

Audubon Nature Institute Members support the animals within our care. Thank you for your gift of support through membership. Admission to the member events is extended to those covered by your current membership.
