Linne’s Two-toed Sloth

Animal Facts

Sloths are good swimmers! Sloths are more closel related to armadillos, anteaters and pangolins and are the world’s slowest mammals. These animals spend as much as 15 - 20 hours per day sleeping. Baby sloths are called pups!

Sloths weigh between 9-17 lbs. Under human care sloths average 16 years of age.

Range

Two-toed Sloth are native to Central America and northern South America, including Colombia, Venezuela, Suriname, the Guinas, Brazil, and the upper Amazon basin of Ecuador and Peru.
