Botany Center

The iconic structure remains a greenhouse dedicated to supporting the Audubon mission.

Standing as an elegant structure on the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center campus, the Botany Center was donated in 1984 and, with its shining, reflective expanse of glass and steel, is singularly identified with the Nature Center. Essentially a greenhouse, it encompasses 2,400 square feet dedicated to wetlands plants. Stabilization and complete restoration will ensure the Botany Center continues its valued role as a one-of-a-kind education center.

The four built-in planters contain curated collections of plants from Tropical Fruit Salad Garden to The Succulents of Louisiana. A designated seating area, for programming provides hands-on learning space (seasonal).
