Journey to a rainforest and discover the piranhas and pacus.

The entrance of the Amazon Rainforest in the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas.

Experience the Amazon-Orinoco rainforest in the middle of the dry season. Climb into our Amazon “tree-top loop” where you have a birds-eye view of the Amazon rainforest. Meet many exotic species of fish including the infamous payara piranhas, pacu fish and freshwater stingrays living in a waterfall pool.

Keep an eye out for the elusive free flying birds that call this indoor rainforest their home! Free flying birds that you may spot include the Peruvian Meadowlark (Sturnella bellicosa) and the Yellow-rumped Cacique (Cacicus cela).
