FrogWatch

Green Tree frog.

2018: Hop into conservation this year with FrogWatch at Audubon Louisiana Nature Center! FrogWatch is a national frog conservation program focused on learning about and monitoring local frog populations through community-based citizen science.

FrogWatch is a national citizen science program sponsored by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). This outstanding program provides vital data on frog populations to AZA and the general public. AZA uses this information to directly influence the research and conservation programs they operate. Additionally, the data and results of FrogWatch initiatives are available for the public to use in their own research and conservation projects. Join FrogWatch today and be a part of creating a healthier future for frogs.

FrogWatch volunteers will learn about the amazing lives of local amphibians, learn to identify the calls of local frog species, participate in citizen science nature hikes to identify and count local frogs, and enjoy access to a wide variety of resources for biology and conservation information. Shifts with New Orleans FrogWatch chapter are flexible level, so volunteers with tight schedules can be involved side-by-side with weekly FrogWatchers.
