Edgar Chase IV
Board Member, Audubon Nature Institute
Edgar Chase is owner of Chase Hospitality Group in New Orleans. In addition to Audubon Nature Institute, he serves on boards for the New Orleans Museum of Art, the New Orleans African American Museum, the Finance Authority of New Orleans, the Metropolitan Crime Commission, and Ujamma Economic Development Corporation.
Chase was inspired to join the Audubon Nature Institute Board by his passion for preserving Louisiana coastal wetlands and the animals that rely on them as well helping to grow our world-class institutions for the benefit of all New Orleanians.
His favorite Audubon memories are of visiting Audubon Zoo with his grandmother as a child and being allowed two pieces of Roman Candy as a treat at the end of each visit. Now, his favorite parts of his Zoo visits are seeing the orangutans, gorillas, and lions.
When he is not volunteering his time for Audubon and other civic and cultural organizations, Chase enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as well as enjoying the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and sports.
