Dolfinette Martin is the housing director for Operation Restoration, a nonprofit that supports women and girls impacted by incarceration to recognize their full potential, restore their lives, and discover new possibilities. She holds an associate’s degree from Delgado Community College and serves on the HANO Criminal Background Review Board and on the FIT (Formerly Incarcerated Transitions) Clinic Advisory Board. She was appointed to New Orleans first female transition team of New Orleans’ Mayor Latoya Cantrell. Dolfinette was a founding member and former president of the New Orleans chapter of National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls and is a recipient of the John Thompson Leadership for Change Award and The Graduates’ Freedom Fighter Award. She was inspired to join the Audubon Commission by her fond childhood memories of field trips to Audubon Zoo and her passion for preventing animal extinction.
