Membership Levels & Prices

Per IRS regulations, all charitable organizations must provide a written disclosure statement concerning quid pro quo contributions over $75.00. Our good faith estimate of fair market value of this membership is equal to or greater than the cost of the membership. Therefore, no part of the membership is tax deductible. Please contact your tax advisor for further guidance. 

Your digital Membership card will be emailed to the Primary Member within seven days of joining or renewing. 

Audubon Nature Institute is excited to introduce digital membership cards as a benefit of your membership! We will no longer mail paper Membership cards. These digital enhancements will provide you with a streamlined reservation experience that also has a positive environmental impact!

Your digital card has been emailed to the primary email address associated with your Membership. If you have not received your digital Membership card, please contact the Member Services team at aimembership@AudubonInstitute.org or (504) 861-5105. 

How do I download my digital card to my phone?

• APPLE USERS
  iPhones have a native app called Apple Wallet. Click the "Download" button in the email you received on your iPhone, then "Add to Wallet," then "Add." Your digital membership card will automatically download to the Apple Wallet app. To access the digital wallet, swipe down on your home screen to activate the Search function. Type "Wallet" into the search bar. Then, tap the Wallet icon that appears under the "Applications" header. From there, you will be able to access your digital card!

• ANDROID USERS
  If you have an Android device, you need to download Wallet Passes from Google Play. After you have the app, access the email from your smartphone and click “Download” in the membership email, and the card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.

Yes, purchasing a Membership Gift Voucher is easy! You can purchase a Gift Voucher online or by calling the Member Services Team at (504) 861-5105. Gift Vouchers function like a gift card and are not assigned to a specific person at purchase.

When you purchase an Audubon Membership Gift Voucher, the Gift Voucher will be emailed to the purchaser to share with the gift recipient.

Vouchers will be emailed to the purchaser, allowing the purchaser to forward to the gift recipient or print and share with the gift recipient.

The Gift Voucher becomes an active Membership when it is redeemed by calling the Membership office at (504) 861-5105 or by visiting the Member Services window at Audubon Zoo. The Membership period begins when the voucher is redeemed, which is when the gift recipient’s information will be collected.

The Membership Gift Voucher is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Charter Members are the first and founding members of Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. The Charter level membership allows free admission for two named adults and their child(ren) or grandchild(ren) ages 18 and under and two guests.

No, there is no penalty to renewing early. Upon renewal, your Membership will be extended 12 months from your current expiration date.

Yes, but we only allow guest name changes within 48 hours of a purchase or renewal, to discourage fraud. Please advise our Member services team of any guest name changes during the renewal process.

Our new Membership structure is meant to be more inclusive, accommodating, and personalized for each household. 

As of April 1st, we’ve updated our Membership structure and are unable to renew inactive Membership levels. However, our Membership team is expertly trained in guiding our Members to the right Membership level and personalizing your entitlements to fit your household. Do this by visiting our Membership window or calling our Membership office at 504-861-5105.

Our new Membership structure was designed to be more inclusive and give families the opportunity to select entitlements that are most important to them while enjoying FREE admission to Audubon Zoo and the new Audubon Aquarium & Audubon Insectarium all year long.

Member benefits now include a limited number of General Admission tickets that can be purchased at a discounted price. With year-round access to Audubon Zoo and the NEW Audubon Aquarium & Audubon Insectarium, three life enrichening facilities.

Our new Membership structure is personalized to each individual household, which means that not all entitlements will carry over.

A Flex Guest is an unnamed Member that may accompany you and your family while you’re visiting one of our facilities. A Flex Guest may only visit with a named Member.

A caregiver pass can be added to Family Basic level and above. The caregiver receives free admission when visiting with your children under age 18 when you are unable to accompany them. Please send a brief permission note with the Caregiver. We will request the Caregiver’s photo ID on every visit.

Five one-time use Guest Passes are included in the Audubon Krewe Membership.

Yes, paper guest passes will be honored until the pass expires.

Membership gift vouchers may be redeemed until their expiration date at our Membership window.

How many children do you have?

One to two children: Family Basic

Three to four children: Family Plus

Our Audubon Krewe Membership includes five one-time use guest passes.

All Memberships are good for one year and expire at the end of the month. You can find your expiration date on your digital Membership card.

Each Membership is intended for family Members living in the same household. Each household should purchase their own customized Membership.

We have created two new KREWE levels – The Super Krewe, for families with five children or more. The new Audubon Krewe level contains the most valued entitlements from our previous Premium level Memberships and includes two adults in the same household, five children, five one-time use guest passes, one Flex Guest, and one Caregiver. Both of our Krewe levels give you the ability to curate your Membership even further by adding additional children, flex guests, and an additional caregiver.
