Emily Vuxton is the Director of External Affairs for the Nature Conservancy. She specializes in advancing important conservation priorities for the state of Louisiana. She holds a master’s degree from Duke University. In addition to serving on the Audubon Commission, she is a volunteer EMT with New Orleans Health Department EMS. She has also participated in the New Orleans Regional Leadership Initiative and Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans.
Emily enjoys cooking, gardening, and yoga and spending time with her pug, Waffles. She is passionate about protecting and rebuilding our coast and was inspired to join the Audubon Commission because of her love of Audubon’s facilities. As an Uptown resident, she enjoys walking the jogging path in Audubon Park and visiting the giraffes in Audubon Zoo.
