Mr. Brent Wood is Government Affairs Regional Manager for Chevron Corporation’s Policy, Government and Public Affairs. In this position, he is responsible for Chevron’s state government affairs activities in the eastern half of the United States, specifically in the states of Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
Mr. Wood received his bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from the University of New Orleans in 1976 and his juris doctorate from the Loyola University School of Law in 1979.
Mr. Wood joined Chevron as a Land Attorney in 1981, and progressed through assignments of increasing responsibility. In 1986, he was named Manager of Public and Government Affairs in Louisiana. In 2004, he assumed his present position of Government Affairs Regional Manager for Chevron Corporation’s Policy, Government and Public Affairs.
Mr. Wood is active on the boards of the Louisiana Association of Business & Industry (Chair), Louisiana Mid Continent Oil & Gas Association, Bureau of Governmental Research, Blueprint for Louisiana, Metropolitan Crime Commission, Audubon Commission and New Orleans Museum of Art.
Mr. Wood has been married to his wife Lele for 30 years, has two adult daughters, and is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.
