Member, Audubon Commission
A native New Orleanian, Beth studied art at LSU, Tulane and the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art, and has been painting and drawing for more than 35 years. Her concentration for a long period of time has been figurative work. Although she considers herself a painter, she has taken a "pause," with a focus on digital photography of dumpsters, as well as word art. She hopes to project a "positiveness" in her art through the excitement of infinite possibilities. Highly influenced by family, friends, current events, technology and environmental issues, as well as being instilled growing up with the importance of balance, communication and productivity, all seem to reflect in her artwork. Beth is married with two children, an art activist, board member of Prospect New Orleans/ US Biennial, and past board member of several art institutions.
