Virginia Rowan is a graduate of Isidore Newman School and Vanderbilt University with a BA in Psychology and Fine Arts. She is the founder of Pelican Coast Neckwear, a local company created to raise funds and awareness for Louisiana’s disappearing wetlands through a partnership with America’s Wetland Foundation. Virginia has chaired events such as the 2009 Chairman for Whitney Zoo-To-Do, Chairman of the inaugural “Chairish” the Children auction event benefitting the Louisiana Children’s museum and the Chairman N’Spiration 2015 for Isidore Newman School. She further has served the New Orleans community on several boards including the Garden Club of America’s New Orleans Town Gardeners, The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Louisiana, Women of the Storm, Communities in Schools Tennis Whites Night, Southern Dominican Province Gala, Living Loving Louisiana, New Orleans Museum of Art and the Trinity Parents’ Group. Virginia is currently an active Board Member of the Ella West Freeman Foundation and the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana.
