Nolan A. Marshall, III

Board Member, Audubon Nature Institute Board

Nolan A. Marshall, III is the current Director of Public Affairs and Policy at the Downtown Development District. A native New Orleanian, Marshall received a Presidential scholarship and graduated from the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University in 2001. In 2009 Nolan received the Fritz Wagner prize for academic achievement and community service in Graduate Urban Studies at the University of New Orleans. Prior to joining the DDD Nolan worked at Tulane University’s Cowen Institute for Public Education Initiatives as the Director of Policy and Advocacy. Nolan previously served as the Associate Director of Common Good at Loyola University, a diverse community-based coalition founded after Hurricane Katrina to assist in crafting policies, which would help rebuild New Orleans better and stronger than it had been.

Marshall has led two for profit companies: Good Citizen, a consulting firm specializing in political, outreach and engagement campaigns, and NAM-IT, a promotional and printable products company. Nolan has been an active civic leader serving as the President of the Young Leadership Council, President of the Board at Einstein Charter School and serving on the board of Audubon Nature Institute, New Orleans City Park Commission, Human Relations Commission, Citizens for 1 Greater New Orleans Resource Council, New Orleans Crime Coalition, Court Watch NOLA and the New Orleans BioDistrict.
