Audubon Aquarium of the Americas' holding facility for marine animals

Breeding and holding facility for Audubon Aquarium of the Americas

Audubon’s Aquatic Center, housed at Freeport-McMoRan Audubon Species Survival Center, launched a new era in animal care when it began operations in 2008. The expansive facility provides holding and quarantine enclosures for Audubon Aquarium of the Americas' extensive marine collection.

The Aquatic Center also serves as headquarters for the Audubon Coastal Wildlife Network (CWN). The Coastal Wildlife Network serves as the primary response partner for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) and for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
