New Volunteer Opportunity:
As hosts of the 2019 AZA/IMATA Annual Conference here in New Orleans from September 6th to 12th, we will need everyone’s help to host another memorable Audubon event! There will be a record-breaking 4,000 delegates at this year’s conference and our colleagues from around the world will be here to see the amazing work that you do every single day.
There are two ways we are asking you to help:
- During the conference, staff may be scheduled to assist with conference-related activities. Your leader will speak to you more about this as the conference approaches and we know the specific tasks and locations.
- You can also help us by volunteering outside of your normal work schedule.
Volunteer assignments include Icebreaker event support, Zoo Day event support, and conference event support at the Convention Center. Either before or after the shift, volunteers may elect to attend conference sessions at the Convention Center. More information will come out about how to access those sessions in the coming few weeks.
Current Audubon employees, interns, and volunteers are eligible to volunteer. Anyone interested in volunteering must complete the Annual Conference Volunteer Application. The Annual Conference Volunteer Committee will review applications and assign placements based on needs for delivering a successful event.
