The sky's the limit for the Kamba Kourse at Audubon Zoo!
The sky’s the limit for outdoor family fun and fitness at Kamba Kourse, a four-story adventure ropes course at Audubon Zoo. Located in the African Savanna across from giraffes Kamba Kourse stands 44 feet high and features three levels with platform heights at 12 feet, 24 feet and 36 feet. It offers nearly three dozen elements designed to test agility, balance and strength for visitors of all ages and abilities.
Participants can spend about half an hour navigating the course, choosing a path through rope elements at their own pace with the option to pass others at any time. The rope elements include zig-zag swinging beams, crisscross angled rope ladders, bridges with spaghetti hand lines and cargo nets.
This kid-friendly attraction also offers a scaled-down version for children aged 2 through 7 (or less than 48 inches tall). The Sky Tykes™ ropes course has nine elements that stand only less that three feet from the ground, which allows for easy parent participation for any level of assistance. Adults can walk alongside their child or step back and watch.
Per person admission to Kamba Kourse is $15 and the Sky Tykes™ child’s course is $8. Audubon Nature Institute members will receive a 10% discount. The attraction will be open during regular Zoo operating hours.
